Daily Intent

Recently in my quest to be happier everyday I have stumbled upon the 5 minute journal. This is basically a journal in which you complete everyday to help you gain more clarity of your daily life as well as gain a stronger appreciation for your daily life. You can buy this journal in physical form, but since I am a strong believer in converting fully to a digital life I have just taken the questions and have created a template in Roam Research which I can use everyday. However I have added one more question for myself which is Daily Intent

The Daily intent is just to give myself a theme for the day, such as “Today I want to be more present and worry less” or “Today I want to get the tasks that I have been putting off done”. It can really be anything but it has helped me start the day with some clarity and give the day a story. 

Here is the template for Roam Research. 

  • Daily Intent #roam/templates
    • [[Daily Intent]]
    • I am grateful for?
    • What Would Make Today Great?
    • [[Daily Affirmations]] I am….]

However you don’t need Roam Research for this. You can do this on a piece of paper, your journal, or your hand. Doing this takes me around 10 minutes, and allows me to have more clarity during the day and makes me feel more productive.

    • My Refrigerator for keeping my drinks cold
    • Caffeine for keeping my awake
    • My hands for allowing me to type
  • What Would Make Today Great?
    • If I finished my work before 8 pm

    • A Goat and the universe wants me to win
