How to be Happier!!!

In order to build consistent Happiness we need to be to be grateful for our current days, and celebrate the small wins. This may be hard at first but after sometime your brain will start to notice all the small wins you get during the day and has, at least for me, contributed a lot to my overall life satisfaction and happiness.

I tend to practice gratitude every night however I do forget a handful of times. I am trying to build this habit in an attempt to be more mindful about my days and see that there are always silver lining even during the darkest clouds. Also thinking about the wins lets me build from a place of positivity and gives me a sense of progress that hey life is going well. Ultimately life becomes what you really focus on, so if you focus on the negatives life will def suck, but if you try to focus on the positives, it can make our lives a little better.

Here is a template that I use:

  • One thing I learned today?
  • 3 things that made you happy today
  • 2 things that could have made today better

Having 2 things that could have made today better, allows me to see how to make tomorrow better or what I should do or avoid in order to be more satisfied with my day.

And here is it filled out:

  • One thing I learned today?
    • That life can go from bad to great really quickly so keep your head up
  • 3 things that made you happy today
    • Getting lunch and reconnecting with friends
    • Watching TL Win
    • Getting to spend the day relaxing
  • 2 things that could have made today better
    • Waking up early
    • going to the gym
