Vietnam Pt. 2

Vietnam Pt. 2

Yo what’s good everyone! Thank you for all the positive feedback from last week’s post. I greatly appreciate all the feedback and the engagement. Well I just landed back in the states last night and in this post will summarize my second week in Vietnam!

So the last time we left off I was on a boat. I finished up part 1 and posted it, and then decided to get some sleep. I woke up the next day at 7 am and then went on an excursion. We hopped on another boat and went to another island. This island had a huge cave tour that we could go on. The cave was actually insane but honestly it was not worth it and I wish I just slept in. We came back to the boat and I got served hella custom vegetarian food. This was probably the most food I ate ever for breakfast I was so hungry. So I feasted and it was hella fire. I honestly missed eating eggs and hash browns so glad that I got to eat that. Then it was time to check out and the boat docked at the harbor. Our private bus dude named Quinn, the goat, picked us up and we drove 2 hours to go see Tri’s Grandma in Hung yen in North Vietnam. I said what’s up to his gma, and dapped her up (jk I wish I did, but I did say Hi tho). Then we took some pictures cuz tri’s mom and aunt from germany dropped by as well. Then we went to get lunch at a pho place right across. They didn’t have any chay food on the menu, so tri’s aunt the goat, talked to the chef’s and they whipped me up a custom made dish. I learned that I really don’t like cilantro or lemongrass in my food I just really don’t like those leaves what so ever. Tri’s cousin who is trying to become a dentist pulled up and she took us a dope looking coffee shop within in the same city. It was like 5 stories and I tried coconut coffee and this was fire af. Then we left and our private bus dude took us back to Hanoi.

On the car ride back I just looked outside the car because the coffee kept me awake and just reflected. This trip made me realize that I actually have so many limiting beliefs about myself and just who I am in general. I had some great conversations with Tri and Tai (tri’s brother) on the boat and they really gassed me up so I really appreciate that. I realized that I never had many of my achievements celebrated so I am numb to my own achievements. I always felt that I wasn’t enough but after this trip I can say that has changed. I am goat and I deserve everything I have been given in life so far and if anyone disagrees they can go f themselves. The universe wants me to win and I won’t disappoint the Universe.

So then we arrived in Hanoi and chilled at tri’s cousin house. I looked up new MTG cards from the upcoming set which looks hella broken btw, powercreep be real fsho. Then we went to get dinner and I really like Hanoi. There is so much space here compared to Saigon, and the roads are wider. Traffic is still chaotic tho. but it’s also way colder but I like wearing pants and jackets so it was a vibe. Then after we got dinner we had to leave back to saigon. So we flew back to saigon and then went to tri’s aunt place which was on the 12th floor. It was a hella nice flat with a hella nice view of the other high rises of a river that was nearby. We spent the night here and then we woke up and went back to tri’s dad place to get our things and then we spent the last 4 nights at a Mai House Saigon. A 5 star hotel that was only $100 a night and it had hella amenities. Wifi, a working hot rain shower, it had a gym, and we had a AC room. It was also located in district 3 and everything popping was hella close by. So then we chilled at the hotel then we went to go get dinner with tri’s aunt at this seafood restaurant, but luckily they had chay options so I did eat a lot here. Me and tri got another massage after then we went back to the hotel and just chilled and slept because we were hella tired from all the traveling that we did.

The next day was Saturday, New Year’s Eve here. New Years here was like thanksgiving. Everyone went back home to celebrate and eat with their families. This also meant that a lot of things were pretty much closed. So we woke up and we went to tri’s dad place to get lunch and celebrate new years with him. So after that we went back to the hotel and hit the gym, and the the sauna and showered and just chilled until we left to go to Tri’s aunt place, back in the high rises. We had a new years dinner and I also got to talk to tri’s cousin and the newlyweds. We then went to the newlyweds home which is an insane flat in the same area. It was on the 34th floor and was huge. Their view was also insane as you could see all of saigon from their house. Happy for them. Then me and tri explored the nightlife streets but everything was pretty much dead because of new years so we just went back the hotel and got some sleep.

Sunday, I woke up and explored the area around me and I got some coffee and some TLJ because nothing was open lmao. Then me and tri left to walk around and explore the area. We ran into a hindu temple which was actually insane. I was the only brown dude their and there was a bunch of viet people giving offerings and praying for the New Years. Me and tri then ran into a massive huge Book/New Years Fair that was like 4 streets long and had hella people. We also ran into more decorations and fairs that had hella cat decorations because it was the year of the cat. We then went to go grab dinner with the same aunt and people that we have been seeing for the last 3 days, and then we got some coffee. Me and tri left and we went to a nightlife street, saw nothing of the particular and went back to the hotel and crashed.

Monday. Woke up got coffee and TLJ, hit the gym, went to go get Banh Mi, picked up a copy of a one piece volume in viet for the memories. I feel like I got used to the saigon area that we were staying in because I felt comfortable walking around by myself. But shoutout google maps tho, would not have been able to do it without GPS LOL. Then me and tri got shambala for dinner and got another massage, then we came back to the hotel slept, and the next day we left for the states.

Overall I had a great time in Vietnam and experienced so many new things and had so many firsts. I feel that the experience I had was super unique because of Tri’s Family and because of Tri. Shoutout Tri and his family for taking care of me in Vietnam as that made trip way better. I learned a lot and reflected a lot out there and have changed a lot for the better. I have a much more positive outlook on life and feel that I have the power to create my story and my legacy. I want to work hard and get rich to be able to afford similar experiences in other countries and just travel and experience more. I realized that I wasted 2022 due to my negative outlook and bad habits. I will not make that same mistake this year and want to utilize the jordan year to its fullest. The Universe wants me to win and I won’t let it down.

Thank you for reading, let’s grow together!
