Waking up Early Sucks
I am currently in wedding season and super busy. Thus here is a short and hopefully valuable post about my new morning routine.
Waking up early sucks.
Here are some things I have been doing to make it easier.
First thing when I wake up I go outside and take in sunlight. I then go for a walk around my neighborhood making sure I am walking in direct sunlight.
I then journal about things I am grateful for using this format
“I am grateful for X because Y”
Here is an example from this morning
“I am grateful for the sun because it feels good”
I then meditate for 5-10 minutes. Just to calm my brain down and because it feels good.
Then I make a cup of coffee because it’s the only thing that actually wakes me up, the other steps just feel good.
I then go for a work out or shower depending if I have to go to work or have a day off.
In the shower I slowly transition the water from warm to cold and then shriek as the water is so god damn cold.
I then do my skincare and dress up.
